On December 5th, 2020 via a virtual setting, Section C-7 will be hosting its second-ever ACT Conference.
Beginning in 2020, each Section in the nation was required to put on a quality youth Lodge Leadership training each year, called the Adapt, Collaborate, and Thrive Conference, or ACT Conference for short. Expected attendance requires at least 80% of elected Lodge Leadership (Lodge Executive Committee members), but of course, non-elected youth and adults are welcome to attend this day of training, too!
The ACT Conference will help lodges Adapt to face major challenges, Collaborate with their peers across the section, and eventually Thrive and become high performing. The leadership theory and pedagogical techniques employed in the course reflect the current best practices in teaching and learning as described in the appropriate literature.
This year, because of the nature and state of the current world, the Section Leadership Team had to make the difficult decision to host the ACT Conference online in a virtual setting.
Registration is now open here! The cost is $10, and the absolute HARD deadline for registering is November 22nd, 2020. Included with the $10 is all the mailing costs for participant materials, a special Section C-7 ACT Conference patch, and a surprise!
